Hiroyuki Doi (Nagoya, Japan. b. 1946)

Japanese chef turned self-taught artist, Hiroyuki Doi has been creating Circle Drawings since 1985. Using a fine tipped pen on washi, Doi depicts many small circles float like an endless galaxy to inspire the viewer. His works exhibited at American Folk Art Museum, Halle Saint Pierre, the Museum of Everything, Collection de l’Art Brut Lausanne and auctioned at Christie’s New York.
